CALB (Anhui Hefei) 11,940 m³ Battery Electrolyte Explosion-Proof Cold Storage Construction Project

Project Overview

In Hefei, Anhui Province, our team successfully completed the construction of a 11,940 m³ explosion-proof cold storage warehouse for CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery). The facility was designed for the safe storage of battery electrolyte, with an adjustable temperature range of 0°C to 10°C, ensuring both safety and stability for sensitive materials.

Equipment Configuration

1.Cold Storage Structure

Insulation Panels: B1-grade flame-retardant polyurethane PIR panels, 100 mm thickness, with 0.5 mm double-sided color steel finish.
Air Curtains: 12 custom explosion-proof air curtain machines (Exd rating) were installed at entry points to reduce cold air loss during door operation.
Sealing & Accessories: Customized silicone, foaming materials, floor channels, and edge trims for maximum safety and sealing.

2.Refrigeration System

Compressors: 6 sets of Emerson Copeland air-cooled condensing units (USA brand, non-explosion-proof).
Air Coolers: 12 custom high-efficiency industrial evaporators (28 kW, side-blowing type) with dual condensate trays to prevent dripping.
Valves & Components: 24 Hongsen ball valves, 6 custom solenoid valves, and 12 Danfoss expansion valves (Denmark brand).

3.Electrical & Control System

Lighting: 130 explosion-proof LED fixtures (anti-corrosion, anti-moisture, Exd IIBT4).
Control Cabinets: 2 Shanghai Qixu cold storage control panels (non-explosion-proof), equipped with Siemens PLC, Chint circuit breakers, and Schneider components.
Monitoring & Safety: 12 high-precision explosion-proof temperature display instruments (Exd IIBT4), explosion-proof sound & light alarms, and switches.
Cabling: Fire-retardant and copper-core cables supplied by Shanghai Qifan, ensuring durability and compliance with explosion-proof standards.
