Project Overview

This project is a 35,000 m³ cold storage construction for JD.com’s e-commerce logistics park in Guannan County, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, China. The facility is designed for the storage and distribution of fresh produce, meat, vegetables, and packaged food, covering multiple temperature zones to ensure an efficient cold chain supply for JD.com’s growing e-commerce operations.

Storage Capacity & Temperature Zones

Freezer Warehouse (3,000 m²): -18°C to -25°C
Cold Storage Room #1 (1,860 m²): 0°C to 10°C
Cold Storage Room #2 (1,860 m²): 0°C to 10°C
Loading Dock (860 m²): 8°C to 15°C

The facility adopts a dual-unit system with standby equipment, electric defrosting, and eco-friendly Freon refrigeration with a pump circulation system.

Engineering Design & Technical Highlights

Two-floor layout:

1st Floor – Low-temperature freezer with partial automated racking area. Equipped with 90 HP Bitzer screw compressors (two parallel units), floor heating frost prevention system, and air-cooled piston units for the 800 m² operation area.
2nd Floor – Two cold rooms with extruded insulation flooring, equipped with 70 HP twin parallel screw compressor units. Italian LU-VE air coolers and expansion valve liquid supply ensure stable refrigeration performance.
