1. Project Overview
This large-scale cold storage facility, located in Almaty, Kazakhstan, was designed and built to support a storage capacity of 15,500 tons (58,000 m³ total volume). The project was completed within a tight 60-day schedule, requiring highly efficient coordination and supply chain management.
The facility features multi-temperature zones with advanced controlled atmosphere (CA) technology, providing long-term preservation for both fresh produce and frozen products.
2. Core Requirements
🔹 Large-Scale Storage Capacity
- Designed to handle 15,500 tons of food products.
- Strong building structure and reliable refrigeration systems with high cooling capacity.
- Optimized layout for efficient logistics and large-scale handling.
🔹 Multi-Temperature Cold Rooms
1.Chilled Storage Zone (-2°C to +5°C):
- Dedicated for root vegetables such as potatoes, onions, carrots, and beets.
- Stable temperature and high humidity environment to prevent chilling injury and water loss.
2.Variable Temperature / Freezer Zone (+20°C to -20°C):
- Flexible design capable of switching between frozen storage (-18°C to -20°C) for fish, poultry, and other frozen goods, or chilled/ambient mode for seasonal demand.
- Enhances overall storage utilization and maximizes economic efficiency.
🔹 Adaptability & Reliability
- Tailored for Kazakhstan’s continental climate (hot summers, extremely cold winters).
- Equipped with international-brand refrigeration equipment to ensure stable long-term operation and convenient local after-sales service.
