Project Scope: Design, construction, and commissioning of a large-scale, multi-zone cold storage facility totaling 49,500 cubic meters (m³) for food raw material processing and storage.
Application: Dedicated storage for nuts, dried fruits, and semi-finished products requiring precise temperature and humidity control.
Project Phases & Key Specifications
Phase I (Completed July 2018):
Volume: 19,500 m³
Facilities: Automated Constant Temperature Cold Rooms, Fresh-Keeping Cold Rooms.
Phase II(Completed March 2020):
Automated Controlled Atmosphere Fresh-Keeping Cold Room:
- Volume: 12,500 m³
- Temperature Range: Adjustable 0°C to 10°C
- Humidity: ≤ 50% RH (Independent Dehumidification)
- Primary Use: Storage of nuts and dried fruits.
Refrigerated Storage:
- Volume: 8,750 m³
- Temperature: 0°C to 5°C
- Humidity: ≤ 50% RH (Independent Dehumidification)
Constant Temperature Storage:
- Volume: 8,750 m³
- Temperature: 5°C to 15°C
- Humidity: ≤ 50% RH (Independent Dehumidification)
Critical Performance:
- Cooldown Time: Achieves target temperature throughout the entire warehouse within 3 hours.
- Temperature Uniformity: Ensured consistent temperature distribution across all storage zones.
Advanced Engineering & Technology
Structure: Pentagonal (5-sided) design. All systems (Phase I & II) are independent, allowing for separate operation and control.
Insulation:
- Walls & Ceiling: 100mm thick Polyurethane (PU) Sandwich Panels with double-sided color steel sheets, rated B1 Fire Resistance (Chinese Standard, equivalent to high fire retardancy).
- Floor: 200mm thick High Compressive Strength XPS (Extruded Polystyrene) Insulation.
Refrigeration System:
- Compressors: Internationally renowned, energy-efficient, low-noise, eco-friendly brands (Panasonic, Sanyo) chosen for reliability and low maintenance costs.
- Refrigerant: Environmentally friendly R404A.
- Valves & Components: Premium Danfoss (Denmark) brand valves and components.
- Air Coolers (Evaporators): High-performance units from KaBeO and Jiesheng.
Control & Monitoring System:
- PLC Central Control System: Provides fully automated temperature and humidity regulation.
- Independent Control: Separate and independent operation for temperature and humidity control systems.
- Data Logging & Display: Real-time temperature and humidity display with automatic data storage and recording.
- Alarms & Remote Monitoring: Features include accidental door closure alarm and remote monitoring capabilities.
Project Outcome & Client Satisfaction
Both Phase I (operational since 2018) and Phase II facilities have been successfully handed over and are in full operation.
The cold storage equipment has been performing exceptionally well since handover.
