Project Overview
This project was designed and constructed for Badianban Convenience Store Group, the leading convenience store chain in Xinjiang, China. The facility serves as the group’s headquarters cold storage distribution center, supporting over 600 convenience stores and 14 fresh food supermarkets in Urumqi.
The project includes a total storage capacity of 15,000m³ with two main temperature zones:
- 0–5℃ Cold Storage Room: 7,500m³, mainly for fruits, vegetables, and fresh products.
- -18℃ Frozen Storage Room: 7,500m³, mainly for meat, seafood, and frozen foods.
The cold storage construction was completed in June 2020.
Technical Specifications
1.Cold Room Dimensions
- Total Area: 2,000 m²
- Height: 7.5 m
- Total Volume: 15,000 m³
- Two storage chambers: one cold storage (0–5℃) and one freezer (-18℃).
2.Refrigeration System
- Equipped with Hanbell screw parallel compressor units (Taiwan brand).
- Each chamber fitted with high-efficiency air-cooling evaporators for stable temperature distribution.
3.Insulation Materials
- Cold storage room (0–5℃): 100 mm polyurethane sandwich panels with double-sided color steel.
- Freezer room (-18℃): 150 mm polyurethane sandwich panels, B1-grade fireproof standard.
4.Temperature Control System
Siemens fully automated control system with Schneider industrial components.
- Functions include:
- Remote monitoring via PC & mobile app
- Temperature & humidity data recording
- Alarm system with SMS alerts
- Door switch signal records
- Energy-saving control: automatic defrosting, standby unit activation when needed

Badianban Convenience Store Group is one of the fastest-growing convenience retail enterprises in Xinjiang. By 2018, it had:
- Over 600 convenience stores and 14 community fresh supermarkets in Urumqi
