Project Overview
With the rapid development of the pharmaceutical cold chain logistics industry, JD Pharmaceutical needed to build a 10,000m³ cold storage facility in Tianjin to support business growth. The facility must meet URS document requirements and support centralized monitoring and control.
1.Cold Room Capacity & Temperature Zones
- Total volume: ~10,000m³
- 10–20°C for general pharmaceuticals
- 2–8°C for refrigerated medicines
- -18°C for frozen medicines
2.Refrigeration System
- Refrigerant: R22
- Cold and freezer rooms use electric defrost
- Cool rooms (10–20°C) use duct-type terminal units – suitable for high-traffic areas, low moisture loss, and minimal frosting (no defrost required)
- Electric heaters for winter heating
3.Refrigeration Units & Backup System
- All refrigeration systems follow a “one working, one standby” configuration
- 10–20°C zones use two sets of twin-screw compressor units (Hanbell, Taiwan)
- Parallel compressors ensure high reliability, large cooling capacity, and centralized control
- Adjustable energy output based on load changes → improved efficiency and lower operating costs
4.Control System
- Equipped with PLC + touchscreen interface
- Compressor runtime balanced automatically
- Load-adjusted operation for optimal energy efficiency (stable suction pressure and high COP)
- Real-time status indicators (e.g. compressor on/off) on control panel
