Project Overview
This project involved the construction of a large-scale Controlled Atmosphere (CA) cold storage facility in Zigong City, Sichuan Province, designed to preserve fresh produce with precision temperature and gas control. The facility consists of 10 independent CA storage rooms with a total volume of 8,500 m³, operating at 2°C~7°C. The solution prioritizes energy efficiency, centralized management, and compliance with URS requirements.
Key Requirements
1.Temperature Control: Maintain precise temperatures between 2°C and 7°C across all 10 storage rooms.
2.Centralized Management: Enable real-time monitoring and control of temperature, humidity, and gas levels.
3.Cost-Effective Efficiency: Optimize energy consumption while ensuring reliability.
4.Compliance: Meet URS specifications and industry standards for fresh produce preservation.
Technical Solution
1. Refrigeration System
- Compressors: Each storage room is equipped with a 20HP Italian Refcomp piston compressor (including condensers, solenoid valves, and pressure controllers). These units offer high cooling capacity, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
- Evaporators: Zhejiang Kaili DL-210 series high-efficiency air coolers ensure rapid cooling, uniform temperature distribution, and efficient defrosting.
2. Insulation Structure
- Wall Panels: 100mm polyurethane double-sided color steel plates with B2 fire resistance rating, providing moisture-proof, waterproof, and thermal insulation properties to reduce operational costs.
3. Controlled Atmosphere (CA) Equipment
- Oxygen Control System: Rainox CA oxygen control unit (Siemens PLC, Schneider electrical components, SMC pneumatic valves).
- CO₂ Scrubbing System: Rainox CO₂ scrubber (Panasonic control system, German pneumatic actuators, intelligent regeneration system).
4. Control & Monitoring
- Temperature Control: Jingchuang fully automated intelligent temperature control system with features including:
- Phase loss, phase sequence, overload, and under-voltage protection.
- Real-time temperature and humidity monitoring with alarm notifications.
- Data logging and remote access via mobile client.
